Yellow Stick Pipe or MDPE Pipe is MDPE/HDPE 2406/ 2706 per ASTM D-2513 Standards. Medium Density Polyethylene Pipe ( MDPE) typically is used for natural gas distribution and transmission. MDPE natural gas pipe has been the standard for natural gas distribution, propane, and liquid petroleum gas systems since the 1960’s. MDPE pipe has proven to be the best solution for low pressure systems operating under 125 PSI. Common sizes for MDPE pipe range from 1/2″-1.25 CTS and 1/2″-4″ IPS.  It is UV protected for outdoor storage for up to 3 years, according to ASTM D2513. It is also available in coils and in sticks.
